At the moment in room five we are we doing the Summer Learning Journey and had to do a blog post with three main things about New Zealand. We then had to make a Google drawing with the three facts we chose and put some pictures on to. Hope you enjoy my Google slide.

  1. Hello Tahlia,

I'm Evelyn and I will be working with the Summer Learning Journey team for 2018-2019 to read and follow amazing blog posts like yours! I am so excited to read what pops into that wonderful brain of yours and hope you have fun on this journey!

Those are some interesting facts about New Zealand! I've lived here my whole life and had no idea about your last fact (fact number 9) so thank you for telling me more about our country! I love the way you have presented your work, it's so colourful and you've chosen some excellent pictures, well done Tahlia! Make sure you remember to put information into your own words. You are correct with your last fact, there aren't many people living in New Zealand if you compare it to other countries. I was born and raised in New Zealand but I come from Taiwan, a country in Asia with many, many people - it has five times more people than New Zealand! It's a very busy country because of the large number of people that live there. Do you think you would like to live in another country with a lot of people? It can get a bit noisy at times but you get to meet a lot of new friends. I noticed that you live on a farm so you must have plenty of space. Do you enjoy all that space? Countries with a lot of people usually means you have to share a lot of space with other people so we're very lucky to call New Zealand home!

    Happy blogging,
    Evelyn :D

  2. Kia ora Tahlia,

It's great to see you using images to illustrate your blog posts. Every time that we use an image on our blog, it's really important that we tell our readers where we found it, and give credit to the owner of the picture. To properly credit a picture you will need to include a link to the site where you found the image. We have created a guide that you might find helpful. You can check it out here:
    https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1VKjkMGwBrk2YI6Vtmg91OAQljr_T3ZSV6YZtu6MWFNM/edit
You will need to follow these instructions to earn full points for any Summer Learning Journey activity that has asked you to post an image.

    Keep up the good work,
    Evelyn :)
