How To Make Butter

On Fridays in the middle session of school we are doing science rotations around different classes. The first two week we have been in Room 5 and have been enjoying our time in their doing the water cycle and the different stages of cream. Today we made the ice cream and butter. This has been a really fun activity and Delicious.

How to make Butter:

Utensils:
Jar with lid
Hands!

  1. The first step to making the perfect creamy butter is you need to pour some cream in a jar you can add as much as you like and make sure you put a lid on.
  2. Next you need to shake the cream like never before!
  3. The first stage you will get when you make the cream is a whipped cream which is perfectly good. Now you will start seeing the cream separate, you just need to keep on shaking and don't stop. Then the cream will start to form which is so satisfying to see.
  4. It is also optional to add salt or herbs to make a flavour of butter.
  5. Now you have the perfect butter made out of cream!

wearable arts

On July the 31st Friday, Awahono School had a wearable arts competition for everyone in the School to attend and make costumes for. We had four different categories that we could win and my group got one for Great Storyline. All the students loves this experienced and would love to do it again.

the last post

Right now we are all going through this tough time so we are doing home school. For this week my class is focusing on ANZAC DAY which is a really important day to remember. For this important day we have some school work to do around it and the first thing I did was a piece of writing on the last post and what we had to write about was how this made us feel. Click this link and  it will take you to  my writing on how this made me feel.
